Ever since I blogged about Mustela’s arrival in the Philippines, I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about the brand. Questions like – does it really cure eczema (nothing cures eczema but Stelatopia manages outbreaks very well without corticoids), can adults use it (anything that’s safe for babies should be good for adults too), where to buy (see info below). Mustela has a wide range of products and explaining them all here would be too much information, I think. What you need to know is that it has a regular line for all babies called Bebe, for problem skin care called Dermo-Pediatrics under which the Stelatopia line falls, a maternity line called 9 Months, and a Sun Protection line.
My daughter Lily has occasional eczema outbreaks mixed with strange (but not so dangerous) allergies. Stelatopia is what she uses. Milky Bath Oil offers great relief during flare-ups. When her skin gets major breakouts with rashes, I apply Stelatria. The whole family uses Stelatria, for wounds and rashes, as it reduces the appearance of scars.

I am all about sun protection. It is crazy hot now and it’s not even summer yet. I’m glad that Mustela has a range of sun protection products for regular skin, sensitive skin and atopic skin. I am very picky about sun screen for myself because anything I put easily causes irritation and sometimes pimples. I also like staying away from the sun completely because I am terrified of wrinkles. I spent all of my teens and twenties as a beach bum – diving and sunbathing. It has taken a toll on my skin. So now I use a small parasol and please don’t laugh at me if you see me walking down the street with one. I wear huge dark sunglasses so I never have to squint… wrinkles! And the truth is I try to avoid using sunscreen… because it used to cause me pimples. But now, so far I’m doing well with Mustela. The kids use it too.
The label says for Delicate and Fragile skin, but basically this is for normal skin. This is safe for newborns. It uses all natural ingredients. It also stays on even when getting wet and sweaty. Can be used by the whole family. For those with eczema, there’s the Creme Minerale suncare product – with no perfume, colorant or paraben. Use that version if you are prone to allergies and eczema.
I love this product – Agua de Colonia. I love smelling my daughters’ neck and hair. No matter how sweaty they get after running around the park, they feel and smell refreshed after a little spritz of this. When the heat hits the 30-degree mark, I can’t tolerate heavy scents too much. So this is perfect for them and me. Right now there is a promo at Mustela. You get a free 200ml Agua de Colonia worth P750.00 for every P2500 worth of purchase of any regular sized products. Purchase of gift baskets and value packs are excluded from the promo. Offer runs until supplies last.
Now here’s the good news. Because Mustela is a blog sponsor, they are giving away gift packs worth approximately P3670 to three lucky readers. This giveaway is open to anyone with a Philippine address. And I’m telling you, the products rock!
