K Palette 24 hour tattoo liners

I first reviewed K Palette 24 hour tattoo eyeliners and eyebrow liners last January when we did a little giveaway. Since then it has won Look Magazine’s Best Beauty Breakthrough 2012 and Mega Magazine’s Beauty Awards 2012. And it would also get sold out fast in Beauty Bar. But now they are well stocked. I have also find myself wearing no makeup except K Palette brows on a daily basis, like here.

The distributors of K Palette recently sent me new goodies to try.

Eyebrow and eye liners from K Palette.

It’s the same Super Black 24 hour Tattoo Eyeliner but in the cutest packaging. I love pink and I love polka dots. P895.00 in Beauty Bar.

I used this eyeliner yesterday while doing field work. I was out in the sun sweating all day. Everything about me looked withered except my eyeliner. It stayed intact. This is able to withstand extreme humidity and dryness of air-conditioned interiors. Youc an be all sweaty and it won’t run. It’s waterproof but easily removable by soap and water. No need for fancy eye makeup removers.

This is the new 2 Way Eyebrow Liner. I got used to the original eyebrow liner. I eventually got the hang of it because it was easy to apply. The liquid had the right amount of translucence. You can control how deep or light you want your brows. It doesn’t end up looking severe. This new version has an additional powder tip for a more natural looking eyebrow. You can use the liquid tip for the outer eyebrows and the powder tip for the inner eyebrows. Available in 2 colours, P1050.00 at Beauty Bar.

Our kitchen project

Major things are happening. We finally decided to push thru with the kitchen renovation. It has been planned for years. And honestly, the only reason it took this long was because I’m a major procrastinator. I figured, I’ll never be ready to temporarily relocate our kitchen while renovations were ongoing, so might as well do it now. As a result our current kitchen is scattered between three parts of the house, including the garage.

My last post about this project is here (almost a year ago). We are keeping the plans with some minor tweaking. I’ve decided to expose the beams of the roof. And the most major decision… wooden floors. Yes, we’re okay with scratches and spills.

I will be documenting the process. This is just a little peek into the project.

Kitchen renovation started today. It's going to be crazy but beautiful (I hope).
Demolition started last week. This part of the house is neatly boarded up.

Goodbye pretty antique glass window. #kitchen #renovation
I said good bye to our beautiful antique glass window. We are saving it for a future project.

This is how the windows looked like before. Photo by Issay Tanabe of Real Kids Photography.

This is the plan from Kitchen Studio by Rafael Calero. Not reflected here are the wooden floors I plan to get from Matimco. I’m using a white countertop and farm house sink  from Two SG called Rockstone Solid Surface. I will be blogging about details soon.

Tweaking my kitchen design because I'm getting this awesome #Samsung digital refrigerator. Still haven't found my sink!
And as the new Samsung brand ambassador for Digital Home Appliances, I get this gorgeous most advanced refrigerator. It’s an inverter type and it’s amazing. Had to tweak the layout of the new kitchen just to fit this.

The materials will sort of look like this. A bit rough and beat up. Ya, we go through a long process of renovating only to come up with a kitchen that looks a bit beat up. But you know what I mean.

More kitchen talk to come… within the next two months.

List of Bench stores that carry Daphne Home Scents

I got these photos from my childhood friend Dan Gil of Liquid Post. I love his point of view of the Home Scent launch.

I have a soft spot for black and white. But I can’t seem to get the hang of shooting in B&W.

From Mushrooms to Banana Leaves

A couple of weeks ago we had Marco Lobregat in Cocktales.

Marco is a fashion and commercial model, turned corporate guy, turned entrepreneur. He started a company that grows and sells mushrooms. It’s called Ministry of Mushrooms.

Yes this is the same dress I wore to the vintage circus birthday party. I’m a shameless repeater. Besides, I wore it in the show first. Not that it matters. It’s from K&Company. (By the way, K&Co now has a branch in Alabang Town Centre. Yay!)

Last week we had my friend Rommel Juan, the owner and creator of Binalot.

It was hard to concentrate during the interview while talking about adobo, pritong bangus, tapa and all our favourite comfort food. Plus salted egg. All conveniently wrapped in smoked banana leaves. Oh my. Cita and I seriously got hungry. Haha.

Our version of wacky. Shoot us! haha. (Wearing a cute K&Company dress printed with tiny giraffes, or maybe they’re llamas.)

Cocktales airs every Sunday night at 9:30pm on AksyonTV. (UHF ch. 41, SkyCable ch. 59, Destiny Cable ch. 7, cignal ch. 1). With replays the following Sunday 12nn. You can catch Rommel’s replay this Sunday. And if you’re abroad, you can see Cocktales via TV5’s international channel.
