Belo Pigment Clarifying Laser

FA IFC Zein Obagi Dr Belo Mabuhay Ad

Have you ever wanted to get rid underarm chicken skin? Belo’s new pigment clarifying laser called Revlite claims to address that and more. It apparently can lighten dark elbows and knees as well, remove age spots, freckles, and even out different colours of tattoos.

The Belo Pigment Clarifying Treatment uses the newest generation of Q-switched Nd:YAG technology with twofold action — Pigment Removal PLUS Skin Rejuvenation.

Revlite uses a photo acoustic pulse, which is gently delivered deep into the skin without harming the skin surface. This shatters the clusters of pigment resulting in an immediate noticeable lightening. It also induces new collagen production. It has no downtime, unlike other laser treatments, has minimal to zero pain and is safe for all skin types and colour.

So if you are bothered by chicken skin, dark spots and that tattoo you got when you were young and wild and free… you can try Revlite at Belo and deal with those issues.

Kobo x National Book Store

I hosted the launch of the partnership between Kobo and National Book Store. Kobo’s award-winning Kobo Touch™, Kobo Glo and Kobo Arc eReading devices will be exclusively available at selected National Book Store locations, Powerbooks, and online at nationalbookstore.com.

I have to be honest, this all new to me. I still love reading real books. I’ve resisted buying eReaders, though my phone has a few of the apps. I buy magazines on Zinio. But because it’s been “too easy”, I’ve not been excited about digital versions of magazines anymore. So I went back to buying paper magazines. With books, I’m just beginning to get it. When traveling or moving around, it gets pretty crazy carrying a heavy book around. This is where Kobo comes in. For me, it’ll be a supplement to my physical books.

Enjoying my new #kobo from National Book Store. It weighs so light! I still love paper books more, a digital version is a good supplement though. It'll retail at @nbsalert on Sept 20. #koboglo @aranazph tote & @katespadeny wallet.
I am trying out the Kobo Glo using a reviewer’s account. (I’m reading Manila Noir). I love how almost weightless it is! Only 185 g. And the screen feels and looks good! My daughter Sophia wants it, so this one is hers.

RJ Ledesma’s book

playing-with-pink-parts

Doing this for RJ Ledesma – TV Host, Entrepreneur, Editor. I haven’t actually read any of his books yet (They all sound like they’re just for men). RJ is one of those nice guys that can get away with many things… and he just got away with convincing me to write about his book launch. Hehe.

Playing with Pink Parts is RJ’s fifth humor book. His last two books, IS IT HOT IN HERE OR IS IT ME? RJ’s Guide to Flirting, Body Language & Pick-Up Artists and IT ONLY HURTS WHEN I PEE, RJ’s Guide to Bodily Gases, Hair Loss & Pink Parts were both finalists in the National Book Awards.

“The book has something for everyone with pink parts.” RJ jokingly relates. He convinced an honest-to-goodness magician to share some modern-day love spells using text messaging, emails and Twitter, interviewed mysticists on how to concoct a homemade gayuma and consulted a naturopathic physician on the ideal combination of herbs to create a potent aphrodisiac. He even visited a urologist (but managed to keep his underpants on) to ask about what were the most effective aphrodisiacs available in the market.

Multiple Palanca award-winning author Butch Dalisay writes in the foreword of RJ’s book, “Sex and humor are two of the most potent forces known to man, and RJ appears to have mastered both. Lest one mistake him for just another randy fool, take note how sharply his humor is barbed politically, to the point that one suspects this is his real agenda.”

PLAYING WITH PINK PARTS, RJ Ledesma’s Guide to Gayumas, Aphrodisiacs and Love Spells’ is launching on September 20 (Friday) 6pm at National Bookstore Glorietta 1, Makati. Playing With Pink Parts is available at the humor section of National Bookstore, Powerbooks and Bestsellers nationwide.
