F Reunion in Instagram

Separation anxiety. I miss the girls already. This kind of on and off screen chemistry can’t be manufactured by any TV producer. Ours was organic. There’s no formula. It was always real.

Yesterday was really special. I have to thank Ginger Conejero for taking interest in our get-together. We ended up in ANC Mornings, and TV Patrol even carried our story on the 6 o’clock news.

Here are some instagram photos taken by Jewelmer’s Mia Macapagal…

The F Girls! First time all 4 of us are together!
This one is a photo from Cher’s camera. I had to capture it via iPhone and post it on my instagr.am @DaphneOP

F girls at ANC Mornings

We had a big day yesterday. Huge. Our private little F reunion turned out to be quite an event. Ginger Conejero of ANC read my tweets about our get together and she invited us to ANC Mornings. It was the first time all four of us got together ever. Cher and Amanda didn’t have an overlap period during the show. So it was a really special day – to have us all in one place, one couch again. Here’s the uploaded video on You Tube. Please share it with your friends.

I will post behind the scene photos of our special day. But I will have to sleep this off tonight. I’m coming down with a nasty cough. And I didn’t sleep the night before because I was anticipating the reunion.

For now, a big thank you to the following –

Sofitel Philippine Plaza for hosting the F photoshoot
Jewelmer for providing us with luxurious south sea pearls during the interview and the shoot, thank you Mia Macapagal
MAC Cosmetics Team for doing our hair and makeup at ANC and at the photoshoot
Jake Versoza, our amazing photographer
Millet Arzaga, our stylist
Hindy Weber-Tantoco, Rajo Laurel, Louis Claparols, Joey Samson and Richie Ortega for providing us with gowns for the photoshoot

My twitter was filled with sweet and nostalgic tweets about F. I’m curious, what’s your favourite memory of F?

Our Spark day

Our SPARK cover is now on the stands. I hope you get your copy – any one of the three covers. It was a rare opportunity to be in a cover with my close friends Bryan and Ingrid. The fact that they were both in the Philippines when this shoot was scheduled was even quite a feat. I read my interview, and it’s felt different. Something happened, I don’t know (maybe age). But I feel so free to speak my mind now.

Here are some behind-the-scenes from the day of the shoot. Ingrid and Bryan already wrote about the outtakes. It was a wonderful day – great company, good food, wonderful architecture and incredible scenery. The SPARK House in Batangas was spectacular. I’m kicking myself for not making time to shoot this house for Urban Zone while we were still on air. I’m sure many urbanista viewers would be in awe. But all is not lost. We have some photos here and we’ll definitely make epic time for a reshoot of this house in the future.

The Spark House

Stunning property with a 360-degree view of the peninsula and the sea.

Beautiful staircase and lots of glass to maximize the view. It wasn’t a heat trap because of the generous windows that allowed the cross-ventillation of wind.

I finally got to wear my Rick Owens long dress. Ingrid, Bryan and I each had a solo in this field of weeds. Lovely.

The master bedroom has a glass roof with fully retractable blinds, so they have a full view of the sea, the sky and the stars at night. I was a little scared of wearing those heels on the glass floor/roof. That is a full shot of the dress I wore in one of the covers. It’s the same beaded dress I wore to Angel’s party. It’s from Antik Batik.

I got this via Facebook over the weekend.

This is the shoot Bryan Boy, Ingrid and I did for SPARK last month. I love the cover line “Online Waves” with the sea in the background. I especially like how we wore our own clothes to the shoot. Bryan and Ingrid have achieved so much in the global fashion arena. Though I am nowhere in their radar, I feel that among all the things I’m doing with my brand, my website/blog is the one that keeps me most motivated and excited. It’s an honour being shot with them.

I haven’t seen the actual magazines yet. But they should be on the stands this week. Thank you Tom and Tanya Favis of SPARK magazine. Not only do the covers look great, we had a blast shooting this. Some behind the scenes photos… coming up.

Metro Home

MetroHome 9-1 Cov FA
Metro Home & Entertaining has two “scoop” homes in its current issue: the dream home built by the reclusive, little known but internationally successful designer Renato Vidal and the remarkable new home of the famous but very private broadcast journalist Ces Drilon.

This issue will be out in the stands on Feb 10. Urban Zone viewers will recognize one of the “scoop” homes. I featured it my show last year. It was also a popular post in this blog. I had to protect the identity of the owner for privacy reasons.

Get this issue, and you’ll know who the owner is. And you’ll see more of that fantastic place.

Guess who…
