Last night I hosted the launch of Elle Decoration Philippines. It is Elle Decoration’s 26th edition. For many of us Elle Decor fans, having our own local edition means a lot. Apparently there were five events happening at the same time last night. But by the looks of it (and the feel, the Met Museum was crowded), all roads led to Elle Decoration Philippines.
The entrance to the BSP Met Museum was enveloped in this beautiful installation made of rattan. Joey Samson created my outfit. I love the blouse and skirt idea. The skirt is gorgeous, with intricate folds and a bustle at the back.
Chut Cuerva’s beautiful Batangas home is on the cover of the maiden issue. He reminded me of the first time he had his home photographed years ago. He asked me to stand in as the “young mom” of the house together with his other model friends. Unfortunately I had to flake last minute. So I was supposed to be the mom of this house. Haha. With Chut in this photo is Aurora Suarez, Summit Media publisher.
Blue Carreon, who writes for Forbes, and Interior Designer Nina Santamaria.
Rug designer Inigo Elizalde, Nix Alanon and Rajo Laurel.
I don’t have photos of me hosting on stage. I’ll have to ask Summit Media for files of those as this was a special moment for me. I’ve been a fan of Elle Decor for many years. Must mention that my make up was done by Claire De Guzman and hair by Avril, our beauty team in Cocktales.
It is the same Gregoria donated by Ito to Unicef’s Auction for Action. The wave table is by Vito Selma.
It was a wonderful night. Bonus treat was seeing the Claudio Bravo exhibit of portraits. I’ve only seen one before, in Mrs. Marcos’ old condo. Seeing the many different portaits in one gallery was really a visual feast. Go see it at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila. And grab a copy of Elle Decoration Philippines. Believe it or not, I actually forgot to get one for myself. Haha.
