P&G Beauty in Bangkok

It has been the coldest spring in Toronto. Just last night it went down to 4°C. Unbelievable. It was wonderful spending the whole season with my family here. I was also able to see and experience the actual Spring/Summer 2013 beauty and fashion forecasts come alive. Because where I live, we just have two seasons — hot and hotter.

A few months ago I was able to attend P&G Beauty’s Vision House in Bangkok as one of the Philippines’ P&G Beauty brand ambassadors. It was a wonderful two-day event that not simply presented trends per se, it drew inspiration from across the planet in the fields of art, architecture, design, technology, and music to identify the global trends that would define the beauty landscape over the upcoming year. I will highlight some of the trends that resonated with me in a series of posts.

Here’s a quick recap of what it was like surrounded by beauty and inspiration in a beautiful hotel So Bangkok designed by Christian Lacroix.

Tod’s D-Styling bag

You all know that designer goods isn’t my forte. I have a few. Very little. And the little that I have, I wear to death. Case in point, my Tod’s D bag. My good friend Ingrid introduced me to it. Actually, Kate Middleton did.

It’s been my favourite everyday bag.

Roughing it. Set up day. World Trade Center.
I’ve even abused it more than once. This was set up day for my booth at World Bex in 2011.

For a very limited time, like 2 days, this bag is on sale at Ruelala. The boutique includes other Italian luxury brands like Prada, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, MiuMiu, Versace, Ferragamo and more.

Clogs

My sister and I are thinking of getting clogs again. I remember that they’re not really the most comfortable – being flat and wooden. But with all these gel insoles available now, I’m ready to give it a go again. Because they are so cute. And they remind me of my childhood.

Sweet Cocktales

I’ve been getting a few emails and comments asking if I’ve moved to Canada for good. The answer is no. We are simply on a summer vacation. My husband was with us for the first three weeks but he went back to work in Manila right after.

I am doing absolutely nothing here in Toronto but enjoying sweet time with my siblings, parents, niece, nephews and my three lovely daughters. Every day is a mix of nothingness and everythingness. I hope I get time to write about this special summer.

Before I left in March, we taped advanced episodes of Cocktales. Those episodes have ran out and the show has been going on without me the past few weeks .

Today I got this photo from my Cocktales family. They are the sweetest.

I miss you too!

I will be back soon to resume shooting the show. Fully recharged and inspired. Here are some highlights from the interesting people we’ve met in Cocktales…

Keepsake charms

keepsakes links of london
I love personal jewelry. The ones with meaning. That’s the essence of DAPHNE® Jewellery. I make them for people who find their own meaning in them. I’m also a fan of cute charms from other brands like Tiffany’s, Pandora, Links of London and even the most random unbranded charms. I got this “Home is where the heart is” locket from Links of London Keepsakes collection.
